We’re excited to launch a new offering from Leading Edge Dog Show Academy: Monthly Coaching Sessions. If you've been asking us for consultations or coaching, here it is!

Our monthly coaching sessions give you two opportunities to receive coaching from Allison:

  • Group Coaching: Join our Group Coaching Call on September 29th at 5:00pm PT. In this call we will discuss our "Learning Prompts" or "Challenges" - topics Allison wants you to think critically and learn more about. Our Group Coaching Calls tend to spark some really interesting conversations!
  • Individual Coaching - 1-on-1 messaging with Allison: VIP students will have additionally access to 1-on-1 coaching with Allison through Whatsapp. Text Allison asking for advice, send photos and videos, and get realtime feedback throughout the month!
  • NOTE: This is the only way to share photos and videos with Allison, and to ask about questions other than the focused topics in our 'Prompts' for each session. Please enroll in VIP if you are interested in either of those things!

How It Works:

This Workshop session will run from September 1st - 30th, 2025 - the Group Coaching Call will take place on September 29th at 5:00pm PT.

Here’s how it works:

  • VIP Students will have access to messaging with Allison on Whatsapp from September 1st - 30th (or starting whenever they enroll).
  • All students will receive access to the learning prompts, recommended readings, and forum-style discussion as soon as they enroll.
  • On September 29th at 5:00pm PT, all students will join the Group Coaching Call (Zoom meeting). This is when you'll discuss the learning prompts with Allison and ask your questions about the topics and how they relate to you and your dog.

Learning Prompts / Challenges

September Challenge (learning prompt): How have you built your dog show brand/persona?

We ask that you focus your discussions in the Group Coaching Call to centre around the Challenge topic! We find that focusing in on specific topics is the BEST way to make improvements in this coaching format.

Time permitting in each coaching call, we will open up the discussion to other topics.

VIP Students can ask about ANY topic through Whatsapp.

  • Enrollment will be open until September 27th @ 11:59pm PT (~1 day before the Group Coaching Call)

Allison Alexander

Believing that you should always do what you love, Allison Alexander became a professional handler in 1987 and presented Canada's top dogs for over 30 years. Allison has bred, owned, groomed and handled many breeds across all seven groups and has finished more than 2000 champions!

With more than 750 All-Breed Best in Shows, she is proud to have been highly awarded at such prestigious shows as Crufts, the World Dog Show, Westminster Kennel Club, and the AKC Invitational.

In 2017, Allison launched Leading Edge Dog Show Academy, the world's first online dog show training school. Her mission is to help mentor a new generation of dog show enthusiasts through innovative video-based grooming and handling lessons. She looks forward to working with enthusiastic students as they perfect their skills on the way to the winner's circle.
