How Anatomy

Relates to Grooming

Let structure & anatomy shape your grooming decisions

In this webinar, we will talk about how your dog's anatomy - conformation, angulation, structure, balance, proportions, type, and more - should influence how you groom them in every way. Whether it be making sure they have a breed-specific silhouette, ensuring the proper expression, showing how much bone they have, properly showing off their correct tail set, highlighting proper angulation or anything else. These are only a few examples of how we'll teach you to make sure you aren't hiding your dog's features and taking into consideration their structure while grooming.

Topics will include:

  • Grooming doesn’t change the dog’s conformation
  • How to critically examine your dog
  • Common virtues and flaws your dog may have
  • Form and function - and how grooming mirrors this
  • What is Breed-Type?
  • Why Using “Guides” Are Not Always The Answer
  • Creating Balance and Proportion
  • Outlines and silhouettes
  • Think about the “free space” under your dog
  • and more!
